Author Interview with Renuka Sanjyot Agureddy
Meet our Author - Renuka Sanjyot Agureddy.
I am Renuka Sanjyot Agureddy, a Marathi poet whose journey with writing began in childhood. Even before experience shaped me, imagination became my voice — a way to understand life, relationships, pain, gratitude, and love. Poetry became more than just creativity; it became a healing, reflective, and self-discovery tool.
During my school days, some relatives doubted my potential. Deep in my heart, though, I knew one thing — one day, I would show them all. That belief carried me through challenges, responsibilities, and self-doubt.
Alongside my creative journey, education and responsibility have always mattered to me. I completed my post-graduation with top results, and even before finishing my graduation, I began working to support my family financially. Today, I balance a professional career as a Finance Analyst with my passion for writing.
Life wasn’t always smooth, but writing stayed with me. It gave me strength when I felt unheard and helped me turn silence into words. Alongside poetry, I also bring characters to life through my voice — like dubbing Shinchan — which is another way I explore emotions, humor, and storytelling.
I am deeply grateful to my parents, my sister, and my grandpa, who have always trusted and supported me. In my final journey, my husband and in-laws also encouraged me wholeheartedly. Above all, I trusted myself and made my dream come true. Their faith, along with my own belief, has been my guiding light.
Title: पहिलं प्रेम… पहिलं स्वप्न
Author: Renuka Sanjyot Agureddy
Genre: Marathi Poetry | Emotions | Relationships | Life
Theme: Love in all forms — family, friendship, memories, separation, and heartfelt connection.
Here is a little sneak peek from the interview -
Q: What inspired your book ‘पहिलं प्रेम… पहिलं स्वप्न’?
Ans - For me, first love begins long before romantic attraction — it starts with a mother’s touch, a father’s protection, a sibling’s care, a friend’s support, guidance from teachers, and the warmth of relationships that shape us.
‘पहिलं प्रेम… पहिलं स्वप्न’ celebrates these emotional beginnings. It explores love in all forms — family bonds, friendships, memories, separation, gratitude, and heartfelt connection through the story of Arush and Isha, reflecting pure, unspoken love that remains deeply meaningful.
This book is not about perfect endings — it is about real emotions, genuine connections, and relationships that stay in the heart, even if they don’t remain in life.
Q: What is the central theme of your book?
Ans - The central theme is love as an emotion, not just a relationship. The book explores:
• Parents’ unconditional love
• Sibling bonds
• Friendship
• Guru-shishya connection
• Social emotions like वृद्धाश्रम
• Memories and separation
• Inner emotions
• Heartfelt love through Arush–Isha
Each poem reflects a stage of life, a relationship, or an emotional experience that touches the heart.
Q: How personal is this book to you?
Ans - This book is deeply personal. Every poem carries a piece of my heart — my childhood, family, relationships, gratitude, pain, hopes, and emotional journey. Some poems are inspired by real experiences, while others come from imagination, but all are rooted in sincerity.
It is more than poetry — it is my emotional autobiography in verses.
Q: Tell us about Arush and Isha.
Ans - Arush and Isha represent pure, silent, incomplete love — love that is never fully spoken or lived openly, yet remains deeply rooted in the heart. Their story shows that even unfulfilled love deserves respect, softness, and remembrance.
Q: What challenges did you face while publishing this book?
Ans - The biggest challenge was believing my emotions deserved space in the world. Writing honestly requires vulnerability. Sharing personal feelings, family emotions, and inner experiences wasn’t easy. But I realized that truth in writing reaches hearts — and that courage became my strength.
• Love is not limited to attraction.
• Every relationship carries its own first love.
• Not every love story needs completion to be meaningful.
• Emotions deserve expression.
• Gratitude, memories, and bonds shape who we become.
Above all, it teaches that feeling deeply is not weakness — it is beauty.
