Winners of Monsoon Muse Poetry Competition

We present to you some of the most wonderful poems from the Monsoon Muse Poetry Writing Competition, so let's calm our minds and dive into the mildness of the monsoon muse.

Our winners are -

1. Krithika Sudarsanam

Poem -

The presence of every cloud

And the every hear of noise loud,

Isn't the assured way for each drop

That would generate many a crop

When the sky even becomes slightly dark

Our mind becomes bright

We plan to have a heavy receive

Of holidays, exemption, but mostly deceive'd

2. Priyanka Bhandarkar

Poem -

Title - Monsoon Meanderings

It is the Monsoon.

The season is a bit musical.

The dry earth it's Goal.

Waiting for good looks,

The persistent clouds.

Which follows me

As I ride the scooter.

The things to be remembered.

Enjoy the wind, water, fire, sky, and earth.

The understandings of the occult,

The Earth is but blue-green.

The makings of a dream.

And in this adventure, I survive

And give myself time to think.

Like reading a book,

And in the same consciousness

The ideas are great.

The feelings are bold

The upbringing rules.

The boat is a tool.

The books are giveaways.

The bike ride is a lore.

The bets are an option.

Beauty is salvation.

The Rain is all skulls and bones.

The Rain is insistent,

An uneasy situation.

The rain is hard,

I don't want to get locked.

Of the tiredness,

Of the frustration.

Being wet,

Being human.

It is not a Surprise,

Comes with restrictions.

It is a process,

Of decent happiness.

Carried from the earth to above,

A heaven that bows.

It is Raining Again!

3. Shikha Gupta

Poem -

Awaited Eagerly

    Always every year
To calm down
      Scorching Summer heats
All over, everyone
    Prays to God Almighty--
But Alas!!
   Human forgets
It's all  our fault
In olden days
fore-fathers said--
Pray and Worship
     Trees and Rivers.
Though uneducated
     They knew their worth.
To bring forth rains.
Monsoon we relish
    Monsoon we want
So learn, and teach
future generation too--
To plant trees in abundance
     Folks
Happy Monsoons

     Enjoy all !!!
