Characterthon winner Dr. Sarvani

Thought Lantern recently organized a 5-day characterthon. Our winner, Dr. Sarvani, wrote on some interesting prompts given to her for creating unique characters through the power of poetry, and she delivered some of the best outcomes based on the given prompts. So let's see what we have in stock.

Day 1 character prompt - A humble girl with long hair

Poem -

As I scribble through quiet pages

I found you waiting there

A softer reflection of me

A humble girl with  long, flowing hair

As I gently comb every strand

I remember Amma's loving hands

And a quiet smile blooms

In these pages, I write my days

Where loved lived simply

The trees whisper in the breeze

Teaching me to bow, not to rise

To walk with grace, not with pride

And to give more than I hold.

Day 2 character prompt - A detective on a quest to find the murderer

Poem -

The link clicks into place

Too perfect, almost whispering the truth

The victim, silent but lost in clues

The accused, trembling in shadows

The suspect, stitched into doubt

The motive, hiding in plain sight

Each piece settles like a final breath

A puzzle that refuses to lie

The crime bends towards confession

The mystery begins to unravel

Smoke curls as I inhale the answer

The quiet thrill of justice finding form

The craft of detection, sharp and alive

I exhale the weight of the hunt

Eyes still tracing the ghosts of clues

Day 3 character prompt - An evil toy seller

Poem -

This toy shall hush your midnight fears
And swallow every silent cry
This doll will stand between your breath
And the shadows that follow you

Sacred, strong, it guards your soul
Or so I whisper with a grin
Believe in the dark, I offer you
It knows the paths to power and rise

Reclaim your youth, your lost desire
Let success bloom from hidden hands
Trust me, just this once, dear child

For I am the voice behind the toys
Your smiling, ever-watching seller

Day 4 character prompt - Wizard living in the dark forest

In the hush of the darkened forest
Where roots curl like ancient secrets
There walks a wizard, cloaked in night

No songs sing his name

Only whispers follow his steps

Through fog and flickering shadows

His cloak, heavy with unseen scars

His wand, carved from storm and silence

Speaks in sparks, the trees understand

Not of glory, nor of fame

But of burdens softly carried

And power held with restraint

His eyes hold forgotten kindness

A warmth buried beneath ash

A soul both feared and quietly wise

Day 5 character prompt - A princess living in an abandoned castle

Poem -

Behind the towering, forgotten walls

Beneath roofs that echo old crowns

Past doors that no longer remember footsteps

Lives a princess of quiet wonder

Wide eyes filled with unknown questions

A mind that wanders beyond stone

The last echo of a vanished king

A beauty threaded with thought and fire

A reader of the world no one visits

She paints colors into silent halls

Speaks her heart to shadows and dust

Guarded by walls, yet alone within
