Day 2 Prompt -
Snowman
By - Dr Romila Chitturi
A sculpted guard of gathered white,
SnowMan holds the yard through freezing night.
With charcoal eyes and a woven vest,
He stands where winter shadows rest.
Though ice defines his rounded frame,
He carries warmth within his name.
For in his making, laughter grew,
A magic old, yet always new.
He waits until the sun breaks through,
To bid the snowy world adieu,
And let the spring begin anew.

Title - Snowman Smiles
In the garden of winter, soft and white,
There is a snowman who feels the sun's rays as
With a carrot nose and coal-black eyes,
He waves at the birds passing by.
A scarf of red hugs his cool chest,
A wool cap for dreams to lie upon.
He laughs with the wind, so cold and so free.
An icy pal for you and me.
He stands so proud till the sun says "hi,”
Then melts with a wink and a gentle sigh
“Build me again when snowflakes play,
I’ll be back on another snowy day!”
By - Bhawana Sethi.
A snowman stood with a frozen grin,
With a double chin and a scarf tucked in.
He gave a sneeze and his nose got loose,
Like a carrot launched by a goose.
He dreamed of a beach and a tropical tan,
A terrible plan for a frosty man.
He sipped hot cocoa,
And turned himself into a miniature lake.
His buttons popped, and his head rolled loose,
Now he is a puddle of lemon juice.
At least he is finally water-tight.

A SNOWMAN- A SHEER REMINDER TO HUMANITY
I woke up with quiet delight
The sky drizzled snow as clear diamonds
I walked to my window
To witness a snowman-
A conical nose, a big, round head…
Standing stout in the winter white echoing:
Life is temporary
Enjoy the way I rejoice bathed in snow,
Despite knowing
My life exists only till winter’s dawn.

What is Snowman doing?
Does he want to say something to us?
Maybe yes, stand strong
Facing any withering weather.
Spreading happiness is my
Aiming in life,
If all are happy watching me,
That is all I want.
Children make a snowman,
And enjoy when he stands tall.
If the snowman melts,
the kids get sad and cry.
The parents come for their
help, and together they make the snowman.
In the same way, if one stands for all, everything
gets ok.
